What you get

What is included with a court

Everything except the shoes on your feet.

Book by the hour, seven days

Courts are available every day from 7am to 10pm. Floodlights mean evening slots play as well as midday ones.

Nets are ready

Nets are set up on the courts, and paddles are available to hire if you need one. Bring non-marking court shoes, water and sun protection.

Two to four players per court

Singles or doubles. Doubles is the sociable option and the easiest way to start if some of your group are new to it.

A short walk from Central

On the rooftop at Broadway, on the edge of Glebe, Ultimo and Chippendale. One of the easiest courts in Sydney to reach without a car.

Open-air, with the skyline

These are outdoor rooftop courts with the city behind them. Worth knowing when you book: wet weather affects play.

Good to know

Court hire questions

Anything else, get in touch before you book — we would rather sort it out first.

How much does it cost to hire a pickleball court?

Court hire is $30 per hour peak (weekdays 5pm–10pm, weekends 7am–5pm), and $25 per hour off-peak (weekdays 7am–5pm, weekends 5pm–10pm). You can book by the hour with no membership required.

How do I book a court at Broadway?

Court hire is booked online through Clubspark. Pick your date, time and court, pay online, and your booking is confirmed instantly. Social sessions and coaching are booked separately through the Play Pickle app.

What are your opening hours?

Open 7 days, 7am – 10pm. The courts are floodlit, so evening bookings play just as well as daytime ones.

Are there pickleball courts near the Sydney CBD?

Yes. Our rooftop courts at Broadway are a short walk from Central Station and Railway Square, on the edge of Glebe, Ultimo and Chippendale — among the closest dedicated pickleball courts to the Sydney CBD.

Where do I park, and how do I get in?

The courts are on the rooftop (Level 4) of the Broadway Shopping Centre car park. If you are driving, park up to Level 3 and take the lift or stairs up to Level 4. Bathrooms are on Level 3. The venue is unstaffed — when you book, you receive an access code and instructions for entering the courts.

Do I need to bring a paddle?

Nets are set up and ready to go. Paddles are available to hire on site if you need one — but if you are playing regularly, your own paddle from the Play Pickle shop is the better move. Bring non-marking court shoes, water and sun protection.

How many people can play on one court?

Two to four. Pickleball plays as singles or doubles, and doubles is the most common format — especially if some of your group are new to the game.

What happens if it rains?

The courts are open-air on a rooftop, so play is affected by wet weather. Get in touch if rain is forecast for your booking and we will talk through the options.

Can I book the courts for a group or an event?

Yes. For team events, birthdays and larger groups we run hosted packages with equipment and a host included, rather than standard court hire. Get in touch with your date and numbers.
